Our Ciders
Our main cider supplier is Tom Bray at Haywood Farm, located in the beautiful Allen Valley near the village of St. Mabyn, approximately 4 miles from Wadebridge.
The Bray family have farmed here since 1919, but cider has been produced on the farm’s granite cider press for centuries. Tom Bray started making cider with a group of friends in 2003, since then his enthusiasm, passion and expertise have continued to grow. Over the last five years, he has propagated and planted fourteen acres of orchards, carefully selecting varieties for their quality and suitability to the Cornish climate, all helping to create top-quality cider.
We offer Haywood Farm sweet and a dry cider served from barrels, these can be mixed for something in between – your personal recipe. If you want traditional cider but with a fizz we have bottles of Harvest Moon, pressed from the same apples but made at Atlantic brewery.
We also sell bottles of local cider from Kernowek Bevvies. David Vanstone lives a couple of miles away in Kilkhampton and makes award winning ciders from local apples.
Finally we have cider from Jon at Crackington Haven. An innovative cider maker he offers cider aged in whiskey and rum barrels as well as a good Cornish cider made from locally sourced apples.
